Update: My tickets and event passes arrived in the mail on Friday. Excitement builds!
In just under a month, the Perth leg of this year’s Good Food & Wine show will kick off and activity is ramping up in the local blogosphere and on twitter. With over 150 food, wine and beverage exhibitors as well as celebrity chefs descending upon our fair city; a promise of tasty treats, quaffable wines and geeky gadgets; and a weekend of indulging in all things food and wine, there’s quite a bit to get excited about.
As this is my first food event, I will be taking the opportunity – courtesy of the generosity of the organisers – with trusty camera in hand, to have a gander through the stands, sampling the goodies and hopefully have an opportunity to chat with the exhibitors. Two events I’m particularly excited to check out are:
- Cheese Masterclass – sampling a variety of cheeses from Australian producers with matching wines.
- Cooking School – Going back to school with a 90 minute hands on session using locally grown herbs and produce.
In addition to all that, there is also the celebrity theatre, a wine theatre and decanter bar providing a host of activites and amusement. There is a lot of ground to cover and I’m hoping to take in as much as possible on the day. Plus, there is also the obligatory visit to the show restaurant. For more information about the show and various events, check out the Good Food & Wine Show website
While I’ve opted to use the complimentary tickets myself, other Perth bloggers are far more generous and currently running competitions giving away a double pass to the event. Head on over to Hold The Beef or The Food Pornographer for your chance(s) to win two adult tickets to the show!
Disclaimer/Disclosure: Devahasdin Communications has generously supplied me with free entry tickets but placed no obligations or conditions on what, how or if I choose to blog about the event.
